A LITTLE ABOUT MEMy collegiate education has had the utmost impact on my ability to interpret and convey architectural design ideas in both visual and verbal scenarios. In order to enrich my experiences I have placed myself in situations that would develop my skills as a designer, but more importantly to develop an enthusiasm in working with people both inside and outside the architectural field.
My combined experiences from being a studio teaching assistant for ten semesters, an ambassador for my college, and a student assistant at the Dean of Students Office have allowed me to assess situations and address concerns from the individual scale to larger group settings. In addition, studying abroad in East Asia (South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, and Singapore) for five weeks and Vicenza, Italy for eight months has provided me with an added sense of cultural empathy, a yearning to connect with others, and an eagerness for social change. I enjoy placing myself in challenging situations alongside people with unique perspectives, whose individual experiences cultivate my growth as a designer.
